If you want to know me better just continue reading! The story below will basicically describe different sides of me.

About me as a Fashionlover

Because I’ve always been very busy with my sporst and school, it’s really great and fun to let my creative me come out in the way I dress, and to show my creative side by means of clothing. Formerly I found it difficult to determine what really suited me and what really shows who I am in terms of clothing. But gradually I found out that I can’t show myself in one specific style. I’m a sporty and tough girl but I can also be really girly at sometimes. And on the other hand I sometimes need to be really decent and neat while when I don’t I can enjoy to be dressed very casual.

My clothing style is very chic and tidy as I go to my work or intership for example. But it can also be a ripped jeans and a casual sweater if I’m staying with friends or when I’m going to the supermarket for example. And that’s precisely the greatest thing about clothing. It’s all about the way you present yourself. The way you dress indicates in what kinda mood you are that day and it can show different sides of you. Cause I think nearly nobody can be placed in just one style. Every one has different sides. And like I said in my introduction on this blog, I really see clothing as a language. The way you dress yourself shows who you are to the rest of the world. And as you have a lot of different languages and accents, you also have a lot of different clothing styles. You just have to found out wich style or which combinations of styles your personality fits. You can basically wear everything as long as your clothing style and your appearance matches with your inwardly and personality.

I like to show you what I wear on particular days and I will therefore regularly post my outfits.

I hope you guys like it.

About me as a Swimmer

I started swimming when I was about 6 years old.  I was a very passionate and extremely driven young girl from the beginning. My concept was decide, commit and succeed. When you just want something really bad, go for it. Chase your dream and just never let go of your dreams.  I truly believed if you can dream it, you can live it and so I did. I wanted to become a professional swimmer and at some day swim the Olympics. I decided to give up a lot of things to reach this goal. I lived for this dream from I was a young girl. I practiced at least every day but most of the weekdays twice a day. I watched my diet and I always tried to eat healthy, I went to bed early to make sure I sleep on time. Everything else in my life had to give way because of my practices, diet and sleeping hours. I really really wanted to become the next Dutch Swim Champion. So I was no standard teenage girl cause I didn’t go to a lot of parties, and when I did, I got early home and I didn’t smoke or drink alcohol. And after all these years of hard work, I’ve won several national and regional titles and I’ve been to the FISEC games in Portugal with the Dutch team. The hard work, commitment and thousands of practicing hours brought me the National title in the open water swimming too (August 2014, at the 3 km breaststroke and the 2km breaststroke Masters). I also became Dutch Master Champion in the age category 20-25 years old on the 100m and 200 m breaststroke. And I’m National Record holder of the National Master Record on the 200m breaststroke long course.

Now, swimming still makes me happy but I also found out that there are a lot of other things in life that can make you feel good and that can make you feel even more happy.

Although I’m still a huge sports fan I’m doing more things now besides the swimming. I spend more time with family, friends and other people I love.

About me as a Dutch Student

After my secondary school I decided to go to college. I chose to study at a University at the other side of the country. So I had to move out when I was 18 years old. I went  to live in a dorm in Leiden city. I was quickly accustomed in this cozy and friendly city. Living in Leiden always felt like living in a small village with some of the benefits of a big city. I just graduated for my Bachelor (cumlaude) EBM (Economie, Bestuur en Management in Dutch, which means something like Economics, Controlling and Management in English). It’s a specific part of Public Administration complemented with economic courses. I was also attending the Honours program of the Faculty of Social Sciences (An Honours program is a supplementary study program for outstanding, talented and motivated undergraduate students).

This year I want to get my Master degree at the VU (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in Dutch). Ofcourse I like the Master Program but also… living in Amsterdam is really great. I think it’s one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in Europe. Amsterdam is a city of diversity and tolerance where you can find all the advantages of a big city such as a lively nightlife, good (international) restaurants, and of course you can shop untill you drop there!

But above everything I hope that the people I love and I may stay happy and healthy for a long time.
